why is Tanzania promoting the Fishing sector in the country?

Tanzania is actively enhancing its fishing sector to promote high-quality fishing practices within the industry.

During a recent meeting held in Tanga, President Samia distributed 34 boats to support and strengthen this vital sector.

“I have distributed 34 fishing boats with the aim of ensuring that fishermen operate professionally in Tanga ,and  120 modern boats and 118 other extra boats through out the country, and this initiative will attract many unemployed youth,”  President Samia said .

This boat distribution program is designed to bolster the fishing industry, thereby stimulating the economy and creating job opportunities in the country. This initiative aligns with President Samia’s 4R philosophy, which focuses on improving efficiency and infrastructure across the nation.

Many projects launched by President Samia serve as catalysts for a brighter future for Tanzanians. These visions not only stimulate the economy but also foster scientific advancement and broad knowledge for citizens in all aspects of life.

In addition, President Samia continues to enhance road projects to strengthen economic growth, emphasizing that these efforts are crucial pathways for generating numerous job opportunities for Tanzanians.

“Our country has made remarkable strides in infrastructure; we are laying the foundation for the construction of the Pangani River Bridge (525 meters long) and the Makurunge-Saadani and Tanga-Pangani roads (256 kilometers),” she said.

President Samia is undertaking these initiatives to uplift all sectors in the country, including education, tourism, fishing, trade, and transportation, while creating a conducive environment that encourages domestic production.
