From strengthening maternal health services and disease prevention programmes to advancing emergency preparedness and health sector reforms, WHO Sierra Leone continued to support the Government and partners in delivering tangible health gains across the country during the second quarter of 2026.

This edition of our Results Newsletter highlights major milestones, including the activation of Triple Zero Taskforces in all 16 districts, training of 508 health workers in postpartum haemorrhage management, treatment of more than 1.8 million people for schistosomiasis, strengthened Ebola and Mpox preparedness, and advocacy efforts to advance sustainable health financing and universal health coverage.
