Understanding the significant of light
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7), verse 5 of 1John 1 says: “God is light, in Him there is no darkness.” If you are a child of God there is no darkness at all; what we need is to maintain the light through fellowship with the Father, with the Son and with the Holy Spirit. In this season even as we draw closer to lent, God is calling us to fellowship. See 1John 1:3, our fellowship with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit defines our fellowship with one another.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)‘Walking in the light’
Three Things Are Clear With This Verse:
• We obey God’s word by doing what He wants us to do.
• We enjoy good relationship with other Christians through fellowship with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
• We receive cleansing through the blood of Jesus.
Every child of God must remember that our God is light; Jesus is light there is no impurity with God; if God is not impure, he expects us to be pure in all our conversation. Jesus declared in John 8:12: “I am the light of the world; he that follows me will not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Every child of God is a bearer of the Light of life. Therefore, walking in light is walking in the footsteps of Jesus. If Jesus will not do it then don’t do it.
Today so many people are confused; they lack direction; they don’t know if they should be men or women; they know they were created men but think they should be women; they are confused because they lack light.
“Then Jesus said to them, yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have light, less darkness comes upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.
Do you know where you are going? If you cannot answer the question, check if you are still walking in darkness; Do know if you are saved or not?
The Psalmist acknowledged the word of God as a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105); the truth of God’s word is related with light. When you run away from God’s word you move far away from light. “O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles” (Psalm 43:3).
“For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life” (Proverbs 6:23).
You Are The Light Of The World
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8). “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness” (1 Thess. 5:5).
When This Light Comes
• Death is destroyed. – like in the case of Lazarus
• Blindness is destroyed -like in the case of Bateaus
• Barrenness is destroyed like in the case of Elisabeth
• Delay is uprooted like in the case of the bed ridden for 38 years
• Restoration is assured
Peter said we have toiled all night and we caught nothing; when Jesus comes change is guaranteed and the story will change. I don’t know what you are struggling with but the presence of Jesus changes all things; His presence kills sickness. Whatever you are struggling with surrender it to Jesus Now, Welcome him into your life, He will change your story to glory.
