WAFU zone A Women’s Club Championship starts today
The 2026 West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone A Women’s Club Championship is set to begin today, Tuesday, 25th August 2026 at the independence Staduim in Bakau.
Gambian champions, Berewuleng Football Club under the guidance of gaffer Fakebba Saine are among teams to participate in the sub-regional football club competition.
Six clubs are expected to vie for one spot in the CAF Women’s champion League.
Berewuleng Football Club have been drawn against AS Bolonta of Guinea and Mogbwemo Queens of Sierra Leone.
