UCTH School of Health Information Management holds maiden induction and oath-taking ceremony – Converseer

CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) School of Health Information Management (SHIM) has held its maiden induction and oath-taking ceremony for graduating students of the institution.

The ceremony, which was held on Wednesday at the hospital’s conference hall, marks a significant milestone in the school’s history, which was established 32 years ago.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Medical Director of UCTH Prof. Ikpeme Ikpeme, congratulated the graduands on their achievements and commended the dedication of the school’s faculty and leadership.

He urged the new health information management officers to be worthy ambassadors of the institution, upholding the values of excellence, integrity, and service as they advance in their careers.

Converseer reports that the induction and oath-taking ceremony was catalysed by Dr (Mrs) Janet Ndareke, Provost of the institution.

The event was attended by the hospital management, officers from the Health Records Registration Board of Nigeria, staff, parents and other dignitaries.

Congratulations to the newest additions to the healthcare information management workforce.
