Traffic changes announced for Reggae Sumfest

KINGSTON, Jamaica—The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is advising the public that several traffic changes will be in effect to facilitate the 2026 staging of Reggae Sumfest at Plantation Cove, St Ann, on Saturday, July 18.
According to the JCF, as a significant number of patrons is expected to attend the event, temporary traffic management measures will be implemented to facilitate the safe and orderly movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, while minimising congestion in and around the venue.
During the event:
— There will be four lanes along the Priory man road, vicinity Plantation Cove, at all three entrances;
— Travelling westerly, the left lane will be used by motorists proceeding straight towards Runaway Bay direction;
— The middle westbound lane will be used by motorists turning right into the venue;
— Motorists travelling easterly towards Priory/Ocho Rios direction will use the middle eastbound lane; and
— Parking will be offered at Plantation Cove for VVIP, VIP and General patrons.
Parking and shuttle services will be done at the following locations:
— Pearly Beach, for patrons travelling from the east;
— Seville Great House, for patrons travelling from the east and environs of St Ann; and
— Discovery Bay, for patrons travelling from the west.
The JCF said signs will be erected along the north coast toll, St Ann’s Bay, Discovery Bay and Ocho Rios main roads directing patrons to each parking lot.
It said traffic personnel will be deployed along the roadways and members of the public are being advised to follow their instructions.
