The number of confirmed Ebola cases in Congo approaches one thousand

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the number of confirmed cases of Ebola virus infection has risen to 956. This is reported by Reuters, writes UNN.

According to the country’s authorities, as of Saturday, the disease has claimed the lives of 247 people. A day earlier, 933 confirmed cases and 245 deaths were reported.

Thus, in just one day, the number of confirmed infections increased by 23 cases.

Among the infected are healthcare workers

The World Health Organization reported that since the beginning of the current Ebola outbreak in the Congo, at least 75 healthcare workers have been infected.
