Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Teko Modise has slammed Kaizer Chiefs players following another league defeat.
Amakhosi went down 2-1 to Golden Arrows this past weekend which was their 10th league defeat of the season. Modise feels like the players are not fighting for the team hence the club has failed to improve this season despite bringing in 10 new players.
Modise questions Kaizer Chiefs players’ fighting spirit
“I have always said, it is the players,” Modise told SuperSport TV.
“It all boils down to the players. Look at the Magesi team and you can see the players fighting (to win). But then you look at Kaizer Chiefs – when it is tough, where do you see the players fighting?
“I will always say this, no matter what the tactics are, if the tactics are not working on the day, do you have the right attitude to fight for results?”
Modise feels that Kaizer Chiefs players have not fought for wins and the blame should be on the players and not the coach. Since joining Amakhosi, Nasreddine Nabi has only won 12 of his 28 matches as coach in all competitions.
Chiefs are in action this weekend against TS Galaxy looking to improve their league standings. Nabi’s men sti in eight position on the log.
