Summer Walker to bring emotional fire to ‘Rocking the Daisies’

American R&B sensation Summer Walker is finally heading to the Motherland to headline Rocking the Daisies Cape Town this October.

The news sent fans into a frenzy after last year’s fake festival fiasco nearly left them heartbroken.

In 2024, a suspicious ‘Tomorrow Can Wait Fest’ popped up, falsely claiming Walker, Lauryn Hill, and Gunna would perform.

X detectives later exposed the fake festival’s email as belonging to a graphic designer.

Fast-forward to March 2025, and organisers Steyn Entertainment dropped the bombshell. Walker is officially joining Rocking the Daisies’ 20th-anniversary lineup, according to IOL.

Their Instagram announcement screamed excitement: “IT’S HAPPENING 🚨… This is history in the making!”.

Walker’s raw, emotional lyrics and Grammy-nominated voice have made her a global icon, according to The Post.

Hits like Girls Need Love and No Love resonate deeply with fans here. As one Twitter user joked: “Selling my liver to go see Summer Walker… gotta be there!”.

Another fan pleaded: “Never considered Daisies… but Summer Walker? Sizoba nenkinga!” (We’ll be in trouble if we miss it).

Rocking the Daisies runs 2–5 October 2025 at Cloof Wine Estate near Cape Town. Tickets are selling fast – act quick before they vanish.

The event blends local and international acts, celebrating genres from jazz to rap.
