Southern Gauteng and Western Province have topped their A Section logs at the Indoor Hockey IPT, and will take on challengers Northern Blues and 2024 defending champs KZN Raiders in their semifinals at the Beaulieu College in Johannesburg on Friday, 28 February, 2025.
The nature of an Indoor Hockey IPT is that it’s fast and furious, and the games come at you at speed. The second day of action continued in the same vein as the opening day with plenty of goals and excitement in a great display of indoor hockey.
A Section
WP Peninsula got the day off to a perfect start with a 5-0 win over Mpumalanga with Tanya Pieterse netting a hat-trick.
Northern Blues and Western Province played out an exciting 2-2 draw with Emily Macquet brace for the Pretoria side.
KZN Raiders bounced back with a 3-0 win captain Tatum Kroutz netting against North West.
Southern Gauteng scored twice early, including one for captain Robyn Johnson and held on for a 2-1 win against SG Witsies.
Kayla de Waal scored a hat-trick for Western Province in their big win 7-3 over WP Peninsula

Northern Blues were superb in their 8-0 dismissal of Mpumalanga. Both Anja Tromp and Elizabeth Porter both got braces.
KZN Raiders secured their place in the Semi-Final with a nail biting 4-3 win over SG Witsies. Chardinay Penniston struck a late blow to a brilliant Witsies fight back that kept the defending champions in contention.
Southern Gauteng were too good for North West and maintained their perfect results in the tournament winning 4-0 with Paris-Gail Isaacs netting the first.
B Section
Northerns Invitational are the top side from the pool stage, they got two 3-0 wins on the final day of group stage. Daniela Patrizi netted twice in the win against KZN Inland while earning another one against Eastern Gauteng.
Southerns Invitational earned an exciting 4-2 win over Eastern Gauteng thanks to a Georgie Prince double.


KZN Inland and Southerns Invitational played out a pulsating 3-3 draw with Danika Ramroop netting the equaliser late on for the Invitational side.
