The Alliance of Sahel States, made up of ⁠Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso, voiced support for Niger’s military and said in a statement on Saturday night that ‌the mutineers had been thwarted. ​It was unclear whether Mali and Burkina Faso provided any concrete military support to Niger on Saturday.
