CHINA
PETROLEUM PIPELINE ENGINEERING CO, LTD, contractor for the East African
Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, in collaboration with Arusha
Technical College (ATC), is undertaking the following training program:
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) – Welding Training
The training program is open to individual candidates from across Tanzania.
Eligibility / Requirements
- Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old.
- Individuals must understand various working environments and adapt smoothly.
- Applicants must hold National Vocational Awards/Vocational Certificates Level I, II, or III in one of the following:
- Welding and Metal Fabrication
- Auto Body Repair
- Fitter Mechanics
- Fitter Turner
- Boiler Mechanics
- Plumbing
- Pipe Fittings
Training Duration
- Successful
applicants must be ready to stay at the training institute for at least
280 training hours (35 working days) to complete the program.
Physical Requirements
- Good eyesight (<-1.0D) and able to read Jaeger No. 1 at 30cm.
- Steady hands and good hand-eye coordination.
- Physically fit: able to sit, stand, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift.
- No color blindness.
- All physical requirements will be tested during interviews.
Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to identify and avoid unsafe work environments.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, teamwork, and listening skills.

- Physical interviews will be conducted at Arusha Technical College (ATC).
- Online interviews will be arranged for candidates unable to attend physically, following completion of the screening process.

Deadline
- The deadline for submission is 19th June 2025 at 5 PM.
- Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered for evaluation.

Important Notices
- Transport fees will be refunded only upon presentation of an EFD receipt from the bus company.

who successfully pass the interview will be required to sign a
pre-training agreement before the training begins. This agreement will
be in effect for the entire training period.
