Singida Black Stars Triumph Over Simba SC

SINGIDA Black Stars has secured a spot in the finals of the CRDB Federation Cup with a 3-1 victory over the hosts, Simba SC, in a match held at the Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium on May 31, 2025.

Singida Black Stars took the lead within the first 20 minutes when Jonathan Sowah scored in the 17th minute.

In the 35th minute, Emmanuel Kwame, who was named the best player of the semi-final stage, added the second goal and then scored the third with a free kick in the 49th minute.

The only goal for Simba SC was scored by Jean Ahoua in the 68th minute. This match marks the end of May 2025 for both teams, with Simba SC feeling the heat of defeat.

Even though first-choice players Mohamed Hussen Zimbwe Jr and Ellie Mpanzu came on in the second half, the defense of Singida Black Stars, led by Kennedy Juma, remained solid and did not allow any more than two goals.

In today’s match, Mpanzu committed a foul against Kennedy Juma and received a yellow card from Ahmed Arajiga in the 50th minute. Both goalkeepers for Simba SC faced challenges, starting with Moussa Camara, who conceded one goal, while Ally Salim let in two.

The finals will feature Yanga SC vs Singida Black Stars, which will determine the champion of the CRDB Federation Cup. It is important to remember that the defending champion is Yanga SC.
