Sierra Leonean government plans to tackle mobile money fraud

Sierra Leonean government is establishing a plan to combat mobile money fraud and bolster consumer protection as digital financial services expand. The ICT ministry said sector leaders gathered for a consultative workshop on 18 and 19 August to design the framework. It focuses on building coordinated fraud prevention and response protocols for the mobile financial ecosystem.
