Sierra Leone staff congratulates President Babadi Kamara on histor WAFU-A election – Africa Top Sports

The Secretariat Staff of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Wednesday, September 9, presented a commemorative photo frame to 𝐒𝐋𝐅𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐢 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚 in recognition of his recent election as 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐀 (𝐖𝐀𝐅𝐔-𝐀).

President Kamara attained the historic position following his election at the WAFU-A Elective Congress held in Banjul, The Gambia, making him 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐋𝐅𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥.

Presenting the gift on behalf of the Secretariat Staff, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐮 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐮 𝐄𝐬𝐪. congratulated President Kamara on the achievement and described his election as a significant milestone for Sierra Leone football. He also commended the President for his leadership and representation of the country at the regional level.

Responding, President Babadi Kamara thanked the Secretariat Staff for the congratulatory gesture and expressed appreciation for their continued hard work and commitment to the development of football in Sierra Leone.

He urged the staff to maintain the spirit of teamwork, unity and dedication, noting that 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐋𝐅𝐀’𝐬 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬.

The presentation provided an opportunity for the SLFA Secretariat to celebrate a milestone that not only marks a new chapter in President Kamara’s football leadership journey but also represents a significant achievement for Sierra Leone on the West African football stage.
