Wydad Casablanca head coach Rulani Mokwena is flirting with the idea of signing Kaizer Chiefs target Feisal Salum.
The 27-year-old Tanzanian midfielder has a buyout clause of R183 million after signing a new deal with Azam FC. Amakhosi are unlikely to pay that much for a single player, but Mokwena’s Wydad might break the bank to bring in Africa’s highest-rated box-to-box midfielder.
The Tanzanian midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, but with Rulani in the picture, the top midfielder might opt to move to North Africa.
“He’s a very good player, one of the best on the continent,” said Mokwena as per FARPost.
“For me, Feisal is very special, and for me I like his personality. Not only as a footballer, but also as a human being.”
Rulani to beat Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs for Salum?
This week, Soccer Laduma stated that Mamelodi Sundowns renewed their interest in Salum. Äs much as Azam FC are looking for R183 million for Feisal Salum, Sundowns are willing to go as far as R70 million. You know they had initially offered R35 million, but it’s believed that it was not enough to convince Azam and that’s why they apparently Sundowns have doubled the offer up to R70 million. Yes, Azam are asking for R183 million as their price, but this could tempt them to accept the offer, a source told Soccer Laduma.
The publication said Kaizer Chiefs were working behind closed doors on how they could beat Sundowns and Rulani to Salum’s signature.
Who will end up signing Feisal Salum next season?
