DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) intends to establish a Long-Term Agreement
(LTA) for a period of three (3) years and is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOls) from qualified companies with the required expertise and experience to conduct internal environmental audits in line with the ISO
14001:2015 standard. These audits are part of EGA’s commitment to implementing and maintaining an
Environmental Management System (EMS), in alignment with the requirements of the United Nations and the Sustainable United Nations (SUN) framework.
Interested firms must meet the following minimum requirements:
• Have at least 10 years of experience in conducting ISO 14001 :2015 audits (including internal, preassessment, surveillance, and certification audits).
• Experience in conducting such audits for at least three (3) public institutions in the last five (5) years, with verifiable references.
• Experience in conducting ISO 14001 :2015 audits in at least three (3) African countries in the last five
(5) years, with verifiable references.
• Provide resumes of at least three (3) audit team members, with a minimum of five (5) years’ ISO
14001 :2015 audit experience.
• Provide ISO 14001 :2015 Lead Auditor certification of at least one (1) team member.
• Submit a company profile outlining relevant experience and service offerings.
Vendors expressing interest should be capable of providing technical documentation verifying experience, team qualifications, and prior work.
1) Companies should be registered in UN Global Marketplace (UNGM) using the link https://www.ungm.org.
2) Vendors who are registered at the basic level are strongly advised to upgrade to level 1.
3) Vendors must be registered in UNGM under the UNSPSC code 77101800, in order to participate in the solicitation for this requirement.
4) Women-owned businesses and businesses owned by persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate.
