Razer refreshes Blade 14 with RTX 50-series GPUs

Razer has unveiled a refreshed Blade 14 gaming laptop, marking it as the thinnest 14-inch model in the company’s history. Measuring a mere 15.7mm at its slimmest point and weighing just over three pounds, this ultra-portable machine is designed for gamers on the go.

Powerful Performance in a Slim Chassis

The new Blade 14 laptops come equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs, with configurations available up to the RTX 5070. This powerful graphics card is paired with NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology, promising “the highest quality gaming experience possible in a 14-inch” laptop.

Under the hood, the Blade 14 features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second). This powerful processor enables a suite of AI applications, including Copilot+, Recall, Live Captions, and Cocreate, enhancing productivity and user experience.

Display, Battery, and Connectivity

Users can spec the Blade 14 with up to 64GB of RAM, and it houses a 72 WHr battery designed to provide approximately 11 hours of use on a single charge – a commendable feat for a gaming laptop of this calibre. The stunning 3K OLED display boasts a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an ultra-fast 0.2ms response time, ensuring crisp visuals and fluid gameplay.

Connectivity options are robust, featuring a MicroSD slot, two USB-C ports, and a traditional HDMI 2.1 port. Wireless capabilities include Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7. The laptop also incorporates a newly designed ventilation system to optimize performance during intense gaming sessions. Its exterior is crafted from durable T6-grade aluminium with a sand-blasted texture and an anodized matte finish.

The new Blade 14 is available for purchase now in black and grey colourways. Pricing starts at $2,300 (around R42,000 ZAR as of May 21, 2025), though this base model includes 16GB of RAM and an RTX 5060 GPU.

In addition to the Blade 14 refresh, Razer has also introduced a new configuration for its Blade 16 laptop, now available with the RTX 5060 GPU. For those seeking even more power, the larger Blade 18 was recently unveiled, capable of being spec’d all the way up to the top-tier RTX 5090.
