Rashal Energies is set to construct a gas pipeline from Kisemvule to Mbagala.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, met with the Chief Executive Officer of Rashal Energies, Farhiya Warsame, to discuss the construction of a gas pipeline from Kisemvule to Mbagala, spanning 19 kilometers in Dar es Salaam.

The company also plans to establish five CNG stations for fueling vehicles and industries, with a goal of exceeding 30 stations in total.

This meeting took place in Dar es Salaam on March 6, 2025, during the East African “Petroleum Conference and Exhibition” (EAPCE’25), a three-day event.

Dr. Biteko emphasized the government’s aim to create an extensive network of gas “pipelines” and fueling stations to facilitate easy access to services for citizens.

He also expressed the government’s readiness to collaborate with companies interested in investing in this service for the public. Farhiya Warsame thanked Dr. Biteko for his guidance, which has been instrumental in advancing the project, and also acknowledged the efforts of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and the Tanzanian government in ensuring the project’s success.

Rashal Energies, headquartered in Dar es Salaam and operated by Tanzanian nationals, employs local experts and has conducted thorough research prior to project implementation, adhering to all national regulations and obtaining necessary permits.

Farhiya noted that upon completion of the gas pipeline from Kisemvule in Mkuranga District to Mbagala Rangi Tatu, Rashal Energies will establish a gas fueling station for vehicles, including rapid transit buses, and will develop over 30 additional natural gas fueling stations, along with a gas pipeline network for vehicles, bajajis, and motorcycles.

This is a crucial step in addressing climate-related issues; these gas pipelines will have a solid foundation that will mitigate disasters previously caused by climate change.
