Rappi reported a net profit of 210,176 billion Colombian pesos (US$64.82 million) in 2025, marking its second consecutive profitable year as the Colombian delivery and technology company continued its shift from rapid expansion toward financial returns. The figure represented a 116% increase from the 97,250 billion pesos (US$29.98 million) it earned in 2024, according to figures compiled by Colombia’s Superintendency of Companies. The company also reported revenue of about 767,316 billion pesos (US$236.55 million) for 2025.
Rappi doubles its profit in Colombia after years of losses
Rappi began operations in Colombia in 2015 and built its business around a platform that connects users with restaurants, stores and other services. The company later expanded its offering to include groceries, pharmacies, e-commerce and financial services.
The change came after years of losses linked to a business model that relied on heavy investment and spending to expand its market presence. By the end of 2023, Rappi had accumulated losses of 1.2 trillion Colombian pesos (US$369.99 million), while its accumulated revenue since 2016 had reached 1.8 trillion Colombian pesos (US$555.04 million), according to La República.
Revenue growth also preceded the move into sustained profitability. Between 2017 and 2023, the company’s revenue grew at an average annual rate of 120%, according to the same report. Its 2024 revenue exceeded 703,114 billion pesos (US$216.77 million).
The 2025 figures put Rappi among Colombia’s largest companies by revenue, although its reported sales remained below the 1 trillion-peso threshold used to identify companies with annual revenue above that level. The business ranked third among Colombia’s messaging and logistics companies by 2025 revenue, behind Inter Rapidisimo and Coordinadora, according to a separate ranking based on company-reported figures.
Rappi’s financial shift follows a decade of expansion
The company’s path to profitability also reflects the scale of its expansion. Rappi operates across several Latin American markets and offers services that extend beyond restaurant delivery. Its platform includes food, supermarkets, pharmacies, stores and other categories, while its Colombian service also includes financial products and delivery services.
Rappi became Colombia’s first unicorn after reaching a valuation of more than US$1 billion. The company later surpassed a valuation of US$5 billion. A unicorn is a privately held startup valued at more than US$1 billion.
The company also attracted major investment during its expansion. La Republica reported that Rappi accounted for nearly half of the US$4.621 billion raised by Colombia’s technology sector between 2013 and 2023.
The figures show two consecutive years of profit after the company accumulated losses during its earlier expansion. They also place Rappi closer to Colombia’s group of companies with annual revenue above 1 trillion pesos, although it had not yet reached that threshold in 2025.
Rappi’s latest results do not erase the losses accumulated during its first years. They show that the company has now reported positive net income for two consecutive years while continuing to operate a broad platform across Latin America.
