President Samia’s Message to Combat Sabotage Within CCM Party

The Chairperson of the Revolutionary Party (CCM) and President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has urged CCM members not to allow or create opportunities for individuals seeking to undermine the party.

While speaking at the special National CCM General Meeting in Dodoma, Dr. Samia stated that if such individuals gain a foothold, they will inevitably disrupt the party, emphasizing that the deserving should be allowed to advance while the unworthy should be told the truth.

She said, “If we give them a chance, my friends, and allow those who are seeking to infiltrate, we will end up with those who will lead the party into chaos. We must not let our party become Gwajimanaizi; we must keep ‘Magwajima’ out, and there should be no shame or hesitation in this matter.

In another point, Dr. Samia also stressed the importance of peace, unity, and solidarity as the country approaches the General Elections.

“My advice to you, my friends, is that we are entering a very challenging period, and during this time, we need peace, unity, and solidarity among CCM members. As we head into the elections, there will be competition for positions, and we may have factions, but once it’s over, we must return to being one party with one strength,” she said.

“Let’s not enter the elections divided; let’s go in united, because if you look at the current situation, CCM has already won with the support of our members and supporters. If they vote for us, we will have a significant number of votes, my friends,” Dr. Samia concluded.
