Fires, floods and the aftermath of strikes
In the city of Bukavu in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, a fire engulfed a school. At least 14 children died in a stampede. In Nepal, survivors were sought after deadly flash floods, while Tribhuvan Hospital in Kathmandu displayed photographs of people considered missing.
The selection also includes images of the aftermath of an Israeli strike on a house in Khan Younis in southern Gaza and housing damaged in a strike in the Al-Rimal district of Gaza City. Children at a camp for displaced people in Gaza City watched a cartoon shown as part of the mobile Little Wings Cinema initiative.
