Pep, one of the largest single-brand retailer in South Africa, will expand its schools-based Pep Mini Netball festivals and coaching sessions to all nine Provinces in South Africa in partnership with South African Schools Netball, according to a recent sponsorship announcement and press release.
The Mini Netball festivals launched in schools across three provinces in April 2023, starting in Gauteng, Free State and the Western in an initiative aimed at reaching young girls aged 7 to 10, to create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters play, learning, and social interaction.

The success of the programme was evident immediately and the retail giant expanded to 3 more Provinces – Limpopo, North-West and the Northern Cape, in the following year.

Come 2025, a massive announcement for young netball stars across South Africa as the retailer expands once more the much-loved Mini Netball programme to all nine provinces, still in partnership with SASN.
Now, in its third consecutive year, even more Under 7, U8 and U9 girls can experience the joy of netball, building confidence, skills, and community spirit.
The programme will soon land in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and the Eastern Cape, making sure every aspiring netball player gets a chance to shine.

The coaching sessions will once again be led by some of South Africa’s finest netball minds, and aspiring young players, and now also coaches, nationwide have the opportunity to participate, develop their skills, and contribute to the growth of youth netball in South Africa.
