Nigerian striker, Mbule and Coetzee

Kaizer Chiefs could capitalise on an outgoing Mamelodi Sundowns striker before the start of the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership.

After three loan spells, the Nigerian striker Etiosa Igodaro is reportedly on his way out of Sundowns’ books.

Igodaro spent last season on loan at AmaZulu, scoring six goals in 27 games. The season before, he was at Chippa United after his loan spell at the University of Pretoria.

According to this latest report, Kaizer Chiefs are keen on the 23-year-old, whose deal with Sundowns ends on the 30th.

“Yes, it’s true. Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have enquired about Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro. You know the thing is the same people who scouted him from Nigeria for Sundowns are the same who have enquired about him for Kaizer Chiefs,” a source told Soccer Laduma. Actually, it’s not the first time they have enquired about him. They tried before when he was on loan at Chippa United but Sundowns sent him on loan at SuperSport United.
