New Sierra Leone coach presented to fans at Southern Arena – Africa Top Sports

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐢 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚, alongside the Minister of Sports, 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬-𝐓𝐞𝐢𝐦𝐚, and the Executive Director of the National Sports Authority, 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐡 𝐄𝐬𝐪, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, officially presented newly appointed Leone Stars Head Coach 𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐃𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 to thousands of football fans at the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The presentation took place during halftime of the international friendly match between Sierra Leone and Liberia, with the delegation and the new coach taking a lap around the pitch to greet the excited supporters in attendance.

Fans warmly welcomed Coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa, who recently signed on as Leone Stars Head Coach, as he acknowledged the crowd ahead of the second half of the encounter.

Coach Didier is expected to officially resume his duties with the national team following the return leg of the international friendly against Liberia, scheduled for 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐊𝐃 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐚.

The halftime presentation formed part of activities surrounding the friendly match, which ended in 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝟏-𝟎 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 over their Liberian counterparts.
