Nabi reveals Kaizer Chiefs have already started recruitment process

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has revealed that the club has already started with their recruitment process.

Amakhosi are set to make wholesale changes to their playing personnel ahead of next season.

Nabi admitted several times that Chiefs don’t have enough quality players for his project to take shape.

And having now concluded the season where Chiefs finished outside the top eight for the second year in a row, Nabi said new players are coming.

The Tunisian mentor told reporters this past weekend that he had a fruitful meeting with Chiefs chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung on Friday.

In that meeting, Nabi said they outlined which positions need reinforcing and the type of players Chiefs should sign.

He further revealed that the recruitment team is already hard at work to make sure he gets what he needs to take Chiefs forward.

What this means is that Nabi appears likely to stay at Chiefs for next season after reports that he will be sacked despite winning the Nedbank Cup.

NABI CONFIRMS MEETING WITH KAIZER CHIEFS SUPREMO

“On Friday, we had a conversation with the chairman, and we know exactly what needs to be done in terms of players,” said Nabi as per FARPost.

“I will not say how many or which kind of players we need, but the recruitment department is working very hard, and everyone knows the needs for the team.

“The contact has started already, and we hope that we will get what we need, but we are sure that the team is going to improve a lot.”
