Morocco U17 women thrash Slovenia in Mediterranean Games opener

The national under-17 women’s football team claimed a commanding 4-0 win over Slovenia on Saturday at the Franco Fanuzzi Stadium in Brindisi, in their opening match of the 20th Mediterranean Games.

The national side’s goals came from Iman Dakhissi in the 50th minute, Nesma Mradi, who scored twice (a penalty in the 61st minute and another goal in the 66th), and Chaima Bougazi in the 63rd minute.

The team will play its next match on the second day of the competition against Portugal on Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m.
