Under the supervision and organization of the National Development Agency (NDA), the Libyan-French Economic Summit for Investment and Development was launched in the city of Sirte yesterday, with the participation of a group of officials and economic actors from the Libyan and French sides.
Several speeches were made at the summit which addressed the importance of enhancing economic and investment cooperation, opening new horizons for the Libyan-French partnership, and supporting development and reconstruction paths in Libya.
Speeches were made by:
- Mahmoud Al-Ferjani – Director General of the National Development Agency.
- Mokhtar Al-Madani – The Mayor of Sirte Municipality.
- Felipe Garcia – Director of Business France’s North Africa office.
Panel Discussions
The summit included panel discussions on the targeted sectors
– First Panel Discussion: Energy, Water, and Telecommunications
– Second Panel Discussion: Infrastructure and Public Works
– Third Panel Discussion: Project Engineering, Project Management, and Construction Operations
– Fourth Panel Discussion: Urban Planning and Sports Infrastructure
The summit comes within the framework of strengthening Libyan-French cooperation, and opening new horizons for partnership and investment, in order to support the development and reconstruction paths in Libya.
