Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdel Sadiq, met on Sunday with Namibia’s Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, Modestus Amutse, on the sidelines of the ONS 2026 Conference and Exhibition in Norway.
The two officials discussed establishing direct cooperation between Libya and Namibia in the oil and gas sector, including linking Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) with Namibia’s national oil company, exchanging technical expertise, building capacity, and training national personnel.
The meeting also addressed ways to attract investment, develop local content, and maximize the economic value of natural resources. Abdel Sadiq said the initiative aims to strengthen Libya’s partnerships with African countries, expand cooperation and investment in the energy sector, and promote greater integration among African oil-producing nations.
