Libya Invites Chad to Activate Direct Flights

The Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, received a delegation of members of the Chadian Senate at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters today.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Libya and Chad in the field of transportation. The Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation in this vital sector.

Based on previous coordination regarding the activation of direct flights between the two countries, the Minister extended an official invitation to the Chadian Minister of Transportation to visit Libya. The purpose of the visit is to sign and activate the air transport agreement between the two countries, expedite the launch of direct flights, and exchange technical information related to air navigation.

The Minister also stressed the importance of Libya’s strategic geographical location and its pivotal role in transit trade through the free zone, affirming that this cooperation contributes to strengthening economic integration between the two countries.

The Ministry said this meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Transport’s commitment to consolidating regional relations and expanding cooperation with neighbouring countries in a way that promotes stability and shared development.
