Libya, Germany review expanding defense cooperation
Libya’s Chief of Staff, Salah Al-Namroush, met with Germany’s Military Attaché to Libya, Lieutenant Colonel Thorsten Wiesmach, to discuss strengthening military and defense cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in areas including training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise, reviewing preparations for the Flintlock 2027 military exercise.
They agreed to maintain communication and hold further meetings to identify areas where Germany could provide support and contribute to Libya’s defense and training efforts, with the goal of enhancing capabilities and improving efficiency.
