The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has condemned the attack on Damietta Port in Egypt, which targeted two commercial vessels with a drone.
The Ministry affirmed in a statement that targeting ports, civilian facilities, and maritime transport constitutes a dangerous escalation that contravenes international law and threatens the security and safety of maritime navigation, international trade, and supply chains.
It expressed its confidence in the Egyptian authorities’ ability to take necessary measures to protect the country and its vital infrastructure.
The Ministry called upon the international community to condemn these attacks and work to prevent their recurrence, thereby contributing to the strengthening of regional security, the preservation of freedom of navigation, and protection of civilian infrastructure.
