Kgothatso Montjane marched into the semifinals of the French Open on Thursday, securing a 6-2, 6-4 victory over No4 seed Ziying Wang of China to book her place in her fourth semi-final in Paris on Thursday, 5 June 2025.
The South African wheelchair tennis star will be hoping she can get past her semifinal hurdle as she made back-to-back semifinals in 2021 and 2022 as well as in 2013.
Her 2025 Roland Garros performances have seen her to yet another competitive campaign, as Montjane also captured a doubles victory on Wednesday.

The South African wheelchair tennis star and doubles partner Yui Kamiji upset top seeds Manami Tanaka and Zhenzhen Zhu with a commanding 6-1, 6-4 victory, to see the pair play another final in the French capital.
The doubles duo were title winners in 2023 and were losing finalists in the 2024 competition but will be hoping their experience will take them over the line again.
