KGHP Fellowships: Strengthening Health Systems in Sierra Leone and the UK

KGHP Fellows: Embedded in partnership

Through our Global Health Fellowships, KGHP brings experienced doctors, nurses, midwives and allied health professionals from the UK and beyond, to Sierra Leone for one-year placements, in five districts, embedded within the communities they serve and work alongside. Two years in, key contributions of the Fellows are:

• Mentorship and clinical supervision within hospitals, supporting local staff to build confidence and strengthen standards of care.

• Education system development, helping hospitals and training institutions establish structured, sustainable teaching programmes.

• Leadership and governance support, working alongside senior managers to improve processes that keep health services safe and effective.
