Kemo Ceeesay elected new GFF president

Kemo Ceesay has been elected as new President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF).

Ceesay was elected at the  GFF Extra-Ordinary General Assembly and Eective Congress held at the Paradise Suits Hotel on Satuday.

The event brought together football stakeholders, administrators, including the representative of FIFA and CAF.

Ceesay was elected as new president of the GFF after bagging 41 votes.

Colonel Musa Jammeh secured  24 votes, while Sadibou Kamoso snatched 12 Votes

The newly elected executive of the GFF is as follows:

1.Kemo Ceesay -President

2.Muhammed M Jagana-first vice president

3.Bakary Bojang- second vice president

Assan Cham – Referee representative

Meanwhile, Lamin Dembajang, Jainaba Bah and Jabou Sowe have been elected as ordinary members of the executive committee and women representatives.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Bakary Y. Badjie, congratulated Kemo Ceesay on his election as President-elect of the GFF.

The elected president of the GFF, Kemo Ceesay, stated that the election marked a significant milestone for football development in The Gambia.

Ministry of Youth and Sports expressed confident that the GFF leadership would continue to promote transparency, good governance and growth of football at all levels.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with the new GFF executive to advance the sports and create more opportunities for Gambian youth.
