Kaizer Chiefs want a piece of the Natal Rich Boyz, namely Yanela Mbuthuma and Lwandile Mabuya.
Mbuthuma showed out in Richards Bay’s momentous 2-0 victory over AmaKhosi last Sunday as he put the nail in the coffin with his 72nd-minute effort, eradicating Nasreddine Nabi’s hopes of leaving with points.
The 23-year-old forward could be repping Kaizer Chiefs colours the next time they face each other; “Chiefs are also interested in that Richards Bay striker that Pirates have enquired about before, Yanela Mbuthuma,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.
“For now, it’s just interest from the team. I am not sure if there is anything official yet from Chiefs to talk to Richards Bay. But what I can tell you is that Chiefs are interested in him.”
Mabuya news
Wingback Lwandile Mabuya is another player AmaKhosi are looking to swoop from Papi Zothwane, and are prepared to add Mduduzi Mdantsane as a sweetner.
“From what we understand, there could be a player exchange between the two clubs (for Mabuya), mainly Mduduzi Mdantsane,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.
“Yes, Sabelo Radebe could also stay but that could be decided when everything is settled and agreed upon. Now they have to consider the offer Chiefs have tabled Rest then the rest (can happen) including a player exchange could follow.”
Kaizer Chiefs are rooted in eighth position as the league takes a two-week hiatus, after which they travel to Golden Arrows for some much-needed redemption. Following that they host TS Galaxy before facing Chippa United.
AmaKhosi remain rooted to eighth on the log heading into the international break.
