Kaizer Chiefs FAIL to finish in the Top 8

Kaizer Chiefs have failed to finish in the Top 8 for the second successive season after a goalless draw against Polokwane City on Saturday.

Amakhosi’s point sees them remain thrid on the log after 28 matches. Despite needing a win in their final match of the season, Chiefs played like a team that were already in the Top 8 and lacked a sense of urgency.

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi’s future is uncertain after Saturday’s results. Although he won the club the Nedbank Cup, failure to finish in Top 8 might decide the Tunisan coach’s season.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Lucas Rabebe urged the club to keep Nabi even if the club fails to finish in the Top 8.

“It’s a pity that we judge coaches by results and he wasn’t great in the league but got us what we haven’t had in the longest time, which is a trophy,” he said as per TimesLive. “I think Nabi deserves another season so that we can see where he is heading.”

Kaizer Chiefs might sack Nabi for failing to finish in the Top 8

Radebe said the club needed to give Nabi resources to bring in quality players next season.

Amakhosi will not get a chance to compete in next season’s MTN8. It remains to be seen if Nabi will be coach of the club next season after a poor display.

Should Nabi get sacked?
