Jet2 will operate its direct charter flights from Gatwick to Banjul for The Gambia Experience this winter.
The six-hour duration flights for the specialist operator to the West African country will run twice weekly on Tuesday and Saturdays between November 3 and April 27, 2027.
Additional Monday services around the Christmas and new year period will provide extra capacity for 14-night stays over the festive season.
A new economy plus option includes airport lounge access and additional space on board with three seats between two passengers at the front of the aircraft.
The Gambia Experience has also secured Polish charter carrier Enter Air to operate an interim service to meet demand for autumn holidays, with flights running from October 9 to October 30 ahead of the Jet2 programme.
Regional departures operated by Tui Airways are also offered from Birmingham and Manchester.
The specialist operator’s product manager Karen Durham said: “We’re delighted to partner with Jet2 for our charter flight programme from Gatwick.
“Their strong reputation for customer service and operational reliability makes them an excellent fit for us and the high standards we’re committed to delivering.
“We know this will be great news for travel agents and their customers, and we look forward to welcoming them on board this winter.”
