Israel Lowers Air Threat, Lets Citizens Exit Shelters

Following a renewed wave of missile launches from Iran on Sunday, the Israeli military has now lifted its earlier directive for citizens to remain in shelters, signaling a reduction in immediate threat levels.

 The military announced in an official statement noted that in accordance with the latest security assessment, the Home Front Command has authorized the public to exit protected spaces across all regions.

Earlier in the day, Israel had urged residents to seek shelter as sirens blared in parts of the country, warning of incoming missiles traced to Iranian territory. The alerts followed the detection of fresh attacks, prompting temporary lockdowns in several areas.

Sunday’s escalation comes just days after Israel carried out an unprecedented strike on Iranian targets—a move that has sharply intensified the already volatile regional standoff.

Israel’s strikes targeted key nuclear and military installations, reportedly killing senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and dozens of civilians in an apparent effort to cripple Iran’s defense infrastructure.

In retaliation, Iran launched a series of missile attacks aimed at Israeli territory, with officials confirming at least 10 fatalities overnight. The retaliatory strikes, which began on Friday, have so far resulted in 13 confirmed deaths and left around 380 people injured.

According to Iranian media citing the country’s health ministry, Israeli airstrikes between Friday and Saturday claimed the lives of at least 128 people, including children, with hundreds more reported wounded.
