How Samia is building Tanzania to ensure services in the community

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has stated that President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan is a strong leader committed to serving Tanzanians by ensuring that social services reach their communities.

“He made these remarks on different occasions while laying the foundation stones for the Expansion of Clean Water Network Projects from Ziba to Nkinga and from Makomero to Mgongoro in Igunga District, Tabora Region, on March 12, 2025. “

After inaugurating the Ziba to Nkinga project, which costs 2.49 billion shillings and is expected to serve 32,979 residents, Majaliwa emphasized that the government is dedicated to providing clean and safe water nationwide to achieve 100% accessibility for citizens.

He urged the public to recognize that this project reflects the implementation of the ruling party’s election manifesto and reassured them of President Dr. Samia’s commitment to their welfare and responsiveness to their challenges.

He expressed gratitude to President Dr. Samia for increasing the budget to enable the Ministry of Water to extend services to rural areas, ensuring that all citizens have access to water. The Makomero to Mgongoro water project, costing 840.8 million shillings, is expected to benefit approximately 5,400 residents and is currently 80% complete, involving the construction and rehabilitation of water collection points and related infrastructure.

In another development, Majaliwa directed the Director of Igunga District Council to allocate 50 million shillings for the construction of a health facility in Mwamayoka village, Igunga, Tabora Region.

“The Director must ensure the construction of a health facility in this area, as it is unacceptable for residents to travel approximately 20 kilometers to access services. ” he said .

During a visit to the business stalls established by the Igunga District Council, the Prime Minister urged council officials to find effective ways for traders to benefit from these stalls instead of relying on outdated procedures.

He commended the decision to build these stalls, highlighting their significance in providing secure business locations for local entrepreneurs, while also advising them to improve their systems to better support the traders.
