Maps now offers a screenshot list feature: Gemini automatically recognizes locations in your app screenshots, allowing you to save them to lists. These saved places appear on your map, and you can share the list with travel companions. This feature launches on iOS in English in the US this week, with Android availability soon.

Google suggests leveraging AI Overviews in Search for travel planning. Starting this week for English queries in the US, AI Overviews will provide trip planning for regions or entire countries. For example, a query like “create a foodie itinerary for Japan” will generate suggestions that can be exported as a list in Docs or Gmail and saved as a custom list in Google Maps.
Furthermore, Google is expanding AI Overviews in Lens and Circle to Search. These tools will soon be available in Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish in most regions where AI Overviews are accessible.
