FNB Expands EBucks With New Travel Features Ahead Of The Long Weekend

To celebrate the extra-long weekend and minimise the stress a weekend getaway can bring, FNB has introduced new ways for eBucks customers to interact with and spend their saved-up points. Whether it’s this weekend or another, certain customers can now book local accommodation and even their travel through the FNB app.

Better yet, FNB will allow the customers to spend all or some of their eBucks points to help cover the cost. This new feature set is available to Aspire, Premier, Private Clients, Private Wealth, and RMB Private Bank customers, including Gold, Platinum, Enterprise RMB Business, Healthcare, and Private Business customers.

“FNB eBucks is constantly reimagining its rewards programme to give more value to our loyal customers. This new travel feature makes planning for the travel peak seasons, such as the Easter weekend, more convenient and secure for travellers,” said Zamabomvu Ngubane, FNB eBucks Rewards Head.

Customers’ eBucks rewards aren’t limited to accommodation. In addition to spending their points on hotels, game lodges, and guest houses, those points can also be used to book a car for hire, purchase bus tickets, or domestic flights, “all from one convenient platform with access to real-time pricing and availability.”

Additional accommodation and travel features are a boon to all FNB customers, even if they aren’t regular travellers. Those customers whose entire holiday this Easter doesn’t rely on the FNB app can still take advantage of several existing benefits, such as discounts when using Avis Car Rental, QuickBus, or even filling up a tank at Engen. We should note that certain services and discounts are reserved for specific FNB clients only.

“FNB’s eBucks rewards programme’s expanded lifestyle ecosystem makes it easier and more convenient for customers to enjoy their travel during the Easter weekend, especially considering that travel and tourism sectors in South Africa will be at their peak season. Through sustained travel growth, we have seen a shift in consumer priorities, with a focus on travel experiences becoming more of a ‘lifestyle option’ which continues to reshape our perceptions of travel,” Ngubane concludes.
