Firm urged to focus on traction, not just visibility, at GITEX Nigeria

Outsourcing firm All Talentz and its sister company, The Restore Cooperative, joined more than 750 startups and delegates from over 25 countries at GITEX Nigeria 2026, as conversations centred on technology, innovation, and Nigeria’s role in the global digital economy.

Held in Lagos, the Startup Festival brought together technology companies, investors, government officials, and digital leaders to discuss partnerships and opportunities for Nigerian businesses to scale internationally.

Michael Nwoseh, Business and Digital Solutions Director at All Talentz, spoke during the American Business Council Nigeria panel titled “From Startup to Scale-Up: Building Globally Competitive Businesses through U.S.–Nigeria Partnerships.”

Speaking on talent as a strategic export, distributed teams, and services trade, Nwoseh said Nigerian professionals are positioned to play a bigger role in the global economy.

His key advice to founders transitioning from high-growth ventures to global businesses is to prove value first.

“Startups get so focused on being seen that they forget being useful is what makes people want to see them again”.

Nwoseh pointed to Nigeria’s track record in entertainment and technology as proof of what is possible.

“And when I look at what Nigeria has already done for entertainment and technology on the world stage, I don’t see any reason we can’t do the same for our talent. The government has laid real groundwork here — now it’s on the rest of us to build on it.”

He cited All Talentz as an example. The company started with fewer than 30 employees four years ago and now has over 500 staff supporting nearly 200 clients across North America.

Beyond individual companies, Nwoseh said Nigeria must apply the same ‘confidence, consistency and global positioning’ used in entertainment to its wider talent pool, as the country’s tech ecosystem gains international recognition as a hub for tech talent.

He also commended government efforts in building the digital and innovation ecosystem, noting that progress so far should serve as a foundation to build upon.
