Edewor Congratulates Anohu As Special Adviser To Niger Governor – Independent Newspaper Nigeria

Chief Dr. Ogheneovo Edewor (JP), Former 2023 Delta Central Senatorial Candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP), has congratulated Rt. Hon. Emeka Reginald Anohu, on his appointment as Special Adviser on Inter-State Relations to the Niger State Government, as a renowned global humanitarian and Philanthropist commemded the Executive Governor of Niger State, His Excellency, Mohammed Umaru Bago, for finding Anohu worthy of the political appointment in Niger State.

Daily Independent learnt this from Dr. Edewor Ogheneovo (JP), who is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees of Young Progressive Party (YPP), in a press statement today, being on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, which was made available to Journalists in Asaba, Delta State Capital. Edewor described Anohu’s appointment as a deserving recognition of his service and bridge-building credentials.

The statement by Chief Dr. Edewor Ogheneovo (JP) reads in part: “From our days at Buckingham University till date, you have always shown exemplary leadership qualities, this is a friendship that has grown into brotherhood”.

“Hon. Anohu’s experience as former Deputy Minority Whip in the Anambra State House of Assembly, member of the 8th Federal House of Representatives, and political strategy consultant positions him to strengthen ties between Niger State and the South East”.

“I use this medium to commend Governor Umar Mohammed Bago for what we call a bold, strategic, and unifying appointment. This decision reflects leadership that transcends tribe, religion, and ethnicity”.
