Dr Samia Receives the Mother of the Nation Medal: A Celebration of Leadership and Dedication

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has been awarded the ‘ Mother of the Nation Order medal ‘ by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. 

The medal was presented to her by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Hon. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the State House in Dar es Salaam yesterday, May 5, 2025.

 Additionally, this medal is one of the highest honors from the UAE, recognizing a leader’s contribution to sustainable development within their community. 

The UAE government has acknowledged President Dr. Samia’s significant role in promoting sustainable development for Tanzanians, aligning with the UAE’s policies on sustainable development, women’s empowerment, and international cooperation.

 Sheikh Abdullah conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and wished the people of Tanzania success in their development and prosperity.

 He also emphasized the need to strengthen the enduring relationship between the two nations and the importance of expanding cooperation in key sectors.
