Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah has discussed expanding economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia during a meeting with the Saudi chargé d’affaires in Tripoli, Abdullah bin Dakhil Allah al-Salmi.
The talks on Wednesday focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, according to the Libyan government’s media office.
Dbeibah stressed the importance of strengthening the economic partnership and creating suitable conditions for Saudi companies to take advantage of opportunities in the Libyan market.
The Saudi diplomat said several major Saudi companies were interested in entering the Libyan market.
The two sides are also discussing arrangements for meetings between Saudi and Libyan companies and relevant authorities to explore investment opportunities and potential partnerships across several sectors.
