Damion Baugh: Fares well for Congo

Baugh recorded 19 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Congo DR’s 101-76 loss to Mali in Friday’s FIBA World Cup qualifier.

Baugh provided a much more efficient performance after struggling in Congo DR’s loss to Angola earlier in the qualifying window, though he committed seven turnovers against Mali. The 26-year-old won’t be returning to the NBA in 2026-27 after signing a two-year contract with Baskonia earlier this month.
