CALABAR – The Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has released programme of activities for the 2025 Media Week celebration.
According to a statement by Secretary Kingsley Agim, this year’s theme is “Journalism and the Quest for Good Governance – Cross River Perspective.”

The programme of activities is as follows:
1. Monday – 5 May 2025:
- 11am – Solemn Assembly
- 12pm – Motivational Talks by Prof Patrick Ene of UNICAL, ex-HoS Mr Okwang Akwaji and Mrs Uduak Ikang-Obeten
- 1.30pm – Games
2. Tuesday – 6 May 2025
- Welfare visitations to 5 weak veterans
- Games
3. Wednesday – 7 May 2025
- 11am – Medical Talks on Stress/Mental Health by 2 experts from Federal Psychiatric Hospital Calabar and State Ministry of Health
- 12.30pm – Medical Check-up by Asi Ukpo Hospital
- 4pm – Media event

4. Thursday – 8 May 2025
- 10am – Public Lecture on Domestication of the National Sports Policy by experts. His Excellency Senator Bassey Otu to declare open. Venue:……..

5. Friday – 9 May 2025
