Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo the champions of Cameroon’s 2024 Season

Colombe finished the season with 65 points from 30 matches (19 wins, 8 draws, 3 losses). A consistent run in which the team managed to stand out even when it seemed in trouble. The team’s strength lay in its great ability to stay solid, make the most of its few chances, and never allow itself to be mentally dominated.

A united and well-managed squad

Despite having a deep roster, competition within the team remained healthy, allowing everyone to capitalise on their playing time. Between coaches Richard Towa and Emma Ndongo, collaboration was smooth almost perfect. The supporters’ backing, internal organisation, and team spirit strengthened the foundation of this success.

Key players

With only 14 goals scored, Colombe’s success also rests on a rock-solid defence and a very decisive Idriss Nfor in goal. In attack, Yvan Mvondo, thanks to his vision and technical quality, managed to energise play and make his teammates shine. There was no prolific goalscorer, but instead a well-oiled collective strength.

After the championship, the Cameroon Cup and the Champions Trophy, Colombe has secured a third title this season, a historic treble that marks a new era for the club from the South. But beware next season promises to be even more challenging, as every club now knows the threat Colombe represents.

With the next season already on the horizon, will Colombe have what it takes to confirm its dominance?
