Colombe crowned 2025 champions of Cameroon

The MTN Elite One has officially announced its champion following the 25th matchday held on Sunday, and in a predictable outcome, Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo has claimed the title. Brice Sindjo scored the decisive goal, marking his seventh of the season, which ensured that Colombe du Sud triumphed over the bottom-placed YOSA.

This title was the result of a fierce competition against rivals Gazelle FA and Coton Sport de Garoua, both of whom provided significant challenges. Colombe throughout the season showes resilience, efficiency, and consistency, which made them maintain their lead as their competitors dropped points over the weeks. With a comfortable 16-point advantage over Gazelle second in line, the last five matchdays were merely formalities, but Colombe was eager to finish the season on a high note, much to the delight of its supporters.

This victory was achieved with a united staff, all rallying behind head coach Richard Towa. After winning the Cameroon Cup and the Champions Trophy, this championship title completes a historic treble for the southern club.

As champions, Colombe du Dja et Lobo will represent Cameroon in the next edition of the CAF Champions League.
